The Beatles went through constant transformations throughout their existence, and continued to do so individually after they broke up. The Beatles originated as an offshoot of the Quarrymen (taken from the name of the High School in Liverpool) a band of which John Lennon, Paul MaCartney and George Harrison were all members. Those three traveled to German where they played under the name the Silver Beatles and were joined by Ringo Starr. They were signed by manager Brian Epstien in 1961 and in 1962 were given their first record deal from Parlophone Records. In 1962 the Beatles released their first single, British Pop song, "Love Me Do." By 1964, the pop group had took over America and was playing in matching polyester suits, with their matching hairstyles. 1967's release of Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, marked the Beatles had transformation into a drug induced psychedelic rock band. In 1968, the Beatles released their self-titled album, which became known popularly as the White Album. Within two years, the band had broke up and each of the members had embarked on solo careers.The White Album is undoubtedly the Beatles most varied album stylistically and also marks their first attempt to make a public statement about the world political situation...
