America is a very unique place. It is a nation of immigrants. Back in hundreds years ago, it has been already a majority-minority nation with a multiracial and multicultural population that made up of the arrival of different peoples. Yet, many people still believe that America is made up of all whites and that America is only a white society. The idea of American and white has always been put in together by those ignorant people. Asian-Americans are one of the minority groups that are always being consider as foreigners or outsiders. In this paper, I am going to use Asian Americans : opposing viewpoints editor by William Dudley and Clothing Chain Accused of Discrimination, an article of the New York Times to demonstrate you the passing of Asian-Americans in America and the barriers of assimilation, especially in getting a job in a white society.
