Secular Music during the Renaissance
Secular music today has changed very much compared to secular music during the Renaissance. Music during the Renaissance, specifically secular music, was popular, well-composed, and well recognized. The three most important topics during the Renaissance were Renaissance music, secular music, and carols.
Renaissance music paved the way for many new styles and famous types of music. During the Renaissance the music was based on modes and had a rich texture with four or more parts.
