This quote shows more than a moment in a hit television series, it shows that almost every European and western country in the world has this sort of stain on their history that they don't want to remember or have unearthed. This relates to events such as the English colonising America and killing off many of the natives that lived there. It can also be related to how Hitler used the S.S to try and kill off all the Jews across Europe and the world. More relevant now though, are the disgraceful attitudes of our predecessors towards Aboriginals and if you compare those horrible events to that Simpsons moment you can clearly see that society deserves a fail with a capital F! Or do we really deserve the title of a bunch of greedy money grabbing scum bags who tried to wipe out a race or did we find a way to stop the English convict problems and start a new country? Time will tell as we look at both sides of the story instead of a one side biased argument like we always seem to hear
Today I will be discussing two key controversy points in our history in Australia's history:
The dispossession and land rights issue. Where the Europeans supposedly took the land from the aboriginals and tried to commit genocide.
The "stolen generation" issue...
