Otto von Bismarck was born in the city of Brandenburg April 1, 1815 to what they say as a “Junker” family. ... Afterward chosen to represent Prussian in the Federal diet, Bismarck gained prominence in 1851. ... A short time after, Otto von Bismarck returned to Berlin to become prime minister of Prussia. Giving powerful meaning to the idea of being German while creating a flourishing and respected German state, Otto von Bismarck achieved and contributed many theories and ideas that helped to unify and strengthen a dominant nation but also leaving Germany with some social and political problems.
By expanding Germany’s borders, Otto von Bismarck created a great German Empire. Allying with close nations such as Austria and Russia, Bismarck was able to conquer over many lands in the area through wars.
