Otto von Bismarck
Otto von Bismarck was born in the city of Brandenburg April 1, 1815 to what they say as a "Junker" family. Studying law in Gottiengen and Berlin universities, later on entering into Prussia services and then subsequently he became judicial administrator at Aachen. Afterward chosen to represent Prussian in the Federal diet, Bismarck gained prominence in 1851. Following that he was sent as an ambassador to Russia and then recalled in March to be ambassador to France. A short time after, Otto von Bismarck returned to Berlin to become prime minister of Prussia. Giving powerful meaning to the idea of being German while creating a flourishing and respected German state, Otto von Bismarck achieved and contributed many theories and ideas that helped to unify and strengthen a dominant nation but also leaving Germany with some social and political problems.
By expanding Germany's borders, Otto von Bismarck created a great German Empire. Allying with close nations such as Austria and Russia, Bismarck was able to conquer over many lands in the area through wars. Starting off he wanted the southern states to become unified with Germany. Successful in January of 1871 the four southern sates joined German confederation building the German Empire...
