The hijab has been banned in France and turkey, should it also be banned in other countries.
The French parliament have now been debating about banning any religious symbols from school, universities and government buildings for just about 10 years now. Muslim women who wear the hijab were to be mostly affected by this decision. They have been protesting against this decision from all over the world. The government still decided to go on with their decision. Now the ban is up and Muslim girls cant go to school freely with their hijabs.
The ban on Islamic headscarves in public school is now sailing through. The French parliament is likely to become law on March 2, inspiring neighboring countries Belgium and Germany to consider doing the same.
Turkey has the same issue and it has been out longer than the ban in France. Turkey is often held up as a model of Islamic democracy...
