The Nazis were a group of people who believed their organization was very religious. They believed they were good Christians and that anyone who diverted from their way of thinking was evil and materialistic. The Swing Youth in Nazi Germany were seen as materialistic because they held different beliefs than the Nazis. They were a group of young people who enjoyed having a good time, and did not follow the ideas that Hitler had for the youth of Germany by not only giving into their material and bodily desires, but they modeled themselves after Germany's most hated enemies.
The Nazis believed that their country should be a nation filled with good Aryan Christians and they believed that Germans should not be materialistic. They believed that good Christians were only concerned with being a good Christian, and they did not care about the material world. They did not believe that people should spend their time and energy having fun all the time because they wanted to have fun, but instead they should do their duty to their country. They were very insistent that Germans each do their part to help out, and they should not be concerned with their well being but instead care about the well being of the whole of Germany.
The Swing Youth were nonconformists and rebels who harbored attitudes different from the Nazis themselves. This is one of the reasons the Nazis felt they were bad and materialistic because the Nazis believed their ideals were the only ones that were not evil...
