Self- Assessment
Quarter 1
Dear Future Students,
In the beginning of this year I thought English would be like an other year, stories, essays, and grammar. Before I focused on the plot of the story, I wrote book reports, and had a grammar book. However this year was not what I had expected, this year I have had to apply critical thinking to the stories to discover the hidden insights, I wrote essays on what the author taught me from the book and focus more on writing instead on English grammar. All other years I have never really had to try because English came so easy to me, but this year I had to put more effort in because it was harder for me to find the insight. After discussing the book and " thinking out of the box," I discovered their were hidden insights such as the Christian allegories, the concept of symbols, and the characteristics of pride. The book and discussions on this book taught me how some ones code hero may not be the most famous person around and even though I didn't do so well on the test doesn't mean I can't do better next time. The old man said that A human can be defeated, but not destroyed...
