Attached to the Router are three main switches and one Primary Dell Server. Windows 2003 Server is the operating system found on the Server. This server acts as the brains of the network. It keeps a Directory of all users and can assign permissions for individuals to access applications and files. This is accomplished through Active Directory Services and Security Protocols. DHCP and DNS are configured on the server. DHCP allows the server to assign an address to each computer on the network. DNS aids in internet name translation.
