Tupac Shakur was born on June 16, 1971 in Leseane Parish Crooks in Brooklyn. His mother was Afeni Shakur, father was William Garland, and his stepfather was Gerald Wayne also known as Mutula Shakur. When Tupac was still a child his mother changed his name to Tupac Amaru Shakur, which was named after an Inca Indian revolutionary. "Tupac Amaru meant shining serpent and Shakur meant thank full to god in Arabic. Starting from Tupacs childhood, many people called him the black prince. Every time tupac did something wrong, his punishment was to read the entire edition of New York Times. When he was two his, sister Sekywia was than born but her father Mutula Shakur has been sentenced for sixty years for a fatal armed car robbery after his child was born. When Mutula was sentenced, Tupac was discovering hard times for him. Tupac had moved from a lot of places like the Bronx, Harlem, and homeless shelters. He couldn't fit in because he kept moving and moving and he had nobody to grow up with...
