Geography had a lot to do with the development of ancient civilization. Two civilizations developed along the Nile River Valley and The Yellow River Valley. The civilizations all started near river valleys because of the fertile land that surrounded them, which allowed people to open different job opportunities. The Nile River Valley had the greatest impact on the world because of the things it did that allowed farming to begin in an easy way. The Nile River Valley had a big impact on Egypt.
The geography of the Nile River Valley helped people out in a big way. The Nile River was long, which allowed a greater amount of fertile land, called Loess to be farmed on. Since the river flows north and the wind blows south it allowed transportation to go in both directions. The Nile River Valley had a predictable annual flooding that allowed people to know when the best time to pant there crops would be.
