The assigned project of selling an item on E-Bay allowed me to use some of my marketing knowledge and skills. The use of eBay was a new experience for me. As a result I thought it was also important to understand the buyers perspective, so I decided to purchase an item from eBay. I found a cute child’s outfit that was only $3.00US. I thought this was a great deal with shipping it would only be $12.15. I bid on the item and won it. However when I registered with PayPal to pay for the item, I discovered that I would not be able to use it until I received my new credit card bill which would have a security number to enter. As a result, I ended up having to pay a $5.00 money order fee and send it express mail which costs another $5.00. In total, my outfit was now $22.10, which was not a deal. Low priced items are often not as cheap as they may seem (without PayPal). Listing an item for the first time was somewhat confusing. I entered the text already formatted and spaced the way I wanted it, however it did not appear that way.
