Introduction
The definition of voting is to express one's preference for a candidate or for a proposed resolution of an issue. Over the years voting rights have been enforced to make voting more effective. When people vote, people get elected. Voting is very important to our government because it determines who will make the decisions for the people in the future.
Constitutional Meaning
The right to vote, and to have one's vote accurately, and fairly counted is as fundamental a right as we have in this country (American Internet). People that want to participate in voting have the right to vote, but before the Amendments, very few people were given the right to have a say in selecting their future leaders. The U.S. Constitution, written in 1787, gave voting rights to the people. However, as defined by the Constitution, the people meant only citizens eligible to vote in a state's election...
