Journeys Essay
"Some people seek journeys while others have journeys forced upon them."
What are the causes and origins of journeys? How have the composers of the texts that you have studied represented the causes of journeys?
Everyone, at some stage in their life, partakes in a journey of some type whether it is physical, mental, spiritual or imaginative. The causes/origins of some journeys are not quite determined. Some may start in the middle of another journey, while a majority have a beginning of their own.
Through my study of certain texts, I have found that all journeys can relate to the quote, "Some people seek journeys while others have journeys forced upon them." This can be seen in the different texts I have studied from the journeys booklet to Skrzynecki's poems to my personal collection of related texts.
'Lord of the Rings' is an epic book-made-into-a-movie which gives an exact example of the above quote. It marks the beginning of a journey for Frodo Baggins and the conclusion of the journey for Frodo's uncle, Bilbo...
