One's sexuality is a birth right, a birthright which women aren't entitled too. Typically a woman's sexuality is defined by, and for the enjoyment of, others. Women need to change this by reclaiming their sexuality. This has been one of the main themes of the women's movement, it's time that women stop consenting to their treatment and change institutions, definitions and increase their safety. Women aren't inferior and their sexuality belongs to them. Three changes that must happen for women to reclaim their sexuality are: firstly, changing institutions which mandate heterosexuality and male supremacy, this is important for women to reclaim their sexuality because it would allow more freedom in determining sexual preference and give women more rights. Secondly redefine sex, this is important because it would end women's submissive sex roles and allow their sexuality to fully be expressed. Thirdly ending sexual violence, this is important because it would empower women and give them control over their bodies.
Changing institutions which mandate heterosexuality and male supremacy is important for reclaiming sexuality because it would allow for more freedom to choose a sexual preference and give women more rights.
