Dear Peter,
Hello, how are you? I was just going to tell you that now I am 13 I would be most grateful if you would like to attend my Bar Mitzvah in Bridgend synagogue on Saturday, 19th, July. I case you forgot when I told you, Bar Mitzvah means "Son of the Commandant". After the ceremony I will be considered a man (in religious meanings), and will have let the responsibility go from my parents, especially my dad, to me. I will also be responsible for keeping many of my Jewish laws, there are 613 laws in total and I try to stick to them all the time, they're called the mitzvot. So by this I shall be a faithful Jew and try to be as responsible as I can.
I will prepare for my ceremony as much as possible. I have been studying to read and speak Hebrew with my dad on the afternoon of the Sabbath and now I am having special lessons from the rabbi. He will test me on my Hebrew knowledge and my understanding for my faith. I will be reading a section of the Jewish holy book called the Torah...
