According to “Marrying Absurd,” an essay written by Joan Didion, marrying in Las Vegas is more a fantasy than reality; but in fact, these marriages can be just as any other. Didion addressed many negative aspects of weddings in Las Vegas such as its cheapness, lack of seriousness, and quickness. However, for those who dont want a big wedding close to home, a ceremony in Las Vegas may well hold the key to happiness.
