In the past, studies have showed that boys were surpassing girls in all aspects of education. However, as time has progressed, studies now show that girls are surpassing boys in most areas of learning. This dramatic change has begun to raise many concerns for doctors, teachers, care workers and parents. Questions begin to arise as to why many young boys are beginning to show little interest in reading, but would rather play a video game. A recent study, from the University of Guelph, showed that, girls, aged 9-12, achieved 54.5% A+ - B in 5 of their subjects, whereas, boys, aged 9-12 achieved, 30.1% A+ - B.
