The word Euthanasia originated from the Greek language:
Eu means "good" and thanatos means "death" which makes it as GOOD DEATH.
One meaning given to the word is "the intentional termination of life by another at the explicit request of the person who dies." 2 That is, the term euthanasia normally implies that the act must be initiated by the person who wishes to commit suicide. However, some people define euthanasia to include both voluntary and involuntary termination of life.
Voluntary euthanasia can be referred as PAS (Physician Assisted Suicide)
Other Synonyms given to Euthanasia are MERCI KILLING and DEATH WITH DIGNITY.
Life today is struggle struggle to live n struggle to strive. Euthanasia is related to all those persons who don't want to live anymore and find it hard to struggle with death. Like cancer patients
Now the whole controversy is whether EUTHANASIA is ethical or not.
People who stand by euthanasia argue that:
PROS
Tremendous pain and suffering of patients can be saved.
Health care costs can be reduced
Vital organs can be saved...
