One of the Hamlet movies was made in 1996 and it was directed by Kenneth Branagh. This movie also starred Kenneth Branagh who played the role of Hamlet. The other Hamlet movie was made in 1990 and it was directed by Franco Zeffirelli and it starred Mel Gibson as Hamlet. I believe that the 1996 Hamlet was better because it had better special effects, better actors and more entertaining.
The special effects of 1996 Hamlet was a lot better than the 1990 one. The ghost in 1996 Hamlet was made better, he was hovering, he had contacts to make his eyes different, he was white and he had a voice macro to make it deeper and slower. In the 1990 Hamlet the ghost was poorly made, all he was is an actor with skin that was a bit paler than normal but nothing else was done to him to make him a better ghost.
The actors from the 1996 film were better and more suited for the roles than the 1990 Hamlet. Hamlet himself from the 1990 film wasn't really believable, he seemed kind of dull and he didn't seem like the type of person who had such a personality. On the other hand the 1996 Hamlet was better suited for the role; he looked sophisticated and like a person who would talk in old English...
