Imagination vs. Reality
The two Twilight Zone episodes, The Masks and A World of Difference, have a lot of things in common but in a contrasting way. In the world of the Twilight Zone imagination and reality met each other often.
In The Masks a set of masks deforms a family's life. The masks were given to them to wear by their grandfather. All four of the masks represented a certain character trait of the person wearing it. For example, greed. The grandfather was a very wealthy man and he was on his deathbed. He told them that they could only inherit his wealth if they wore these masks for a few hours. After the masks were taken off, their faces were molded to that of the masks, or in other words to that of their ugly inner selves...
