The lesson I am going to teach my student is "How to create a water garden". I would teach this topic by actually doing it. I would find a small plot maybe in my own garden and the classes would be aimed around creating a water garden in that area. So my classroom would be mainly outside and my subject would be a hand's on learning experience for all.
I choose this way because if I was teaching this task to someone like myself who is a very naturalistic and visual learner. I would like it to be a hand's on experience with lots of research through books and videos on the subject. Also research into plant and animal life for our water garden would be carried out. Firstly we would do the research in a classroom or library. This would make sure we knew exactly how we would like our water garden to look. Then the lesson would be taken outside in the garden with sketchbooks for making notes and drawing plans for the water garden...
