Ralph from Lord of the Flies

Ralph is a fair-haired boy of average height. He is not overweight, yet not skinny. He has blonde hair, which early in the book, is cut down to half an inch. As the book progresses, his hair grows in length and becomes tangled and wild. He wears a gray t-shirt and pants at the beginning of the book, but they get torn and ripped throughout the story and he ends up taking them off. Ralph is a well-groomed person by nature, but as the story progresses, he bathes less and less and does not brush his teeth or comb his hair. He ends up very unsanitary and his skin and hair become very dirty.
When the plane crashes into the island, Ralph is confused. He eventually sorts everything out which shows that he is a very conservative and organized person. Once he finds others and they get together, his rational characteristics are again backed up by his evaluation of their surroundings, "This is an island...
