Today, there is a covert underground economy around our lives. We do not need to pay taxes when we buy something from the underground economy; therefore, lots of people misconstrue it as a convenient supermarket in which people can save money. However, the government believes that the underground economy is like sow bugs which affect seriously the order of normal economy, and it brings a lot of problems such as the loss of tax revenue and an increase in crime.
Greed is an inherent shortcoming of human beings. People show their allegiance to money more obstinately than their allegiance to the government. The government can not stop people choosing the goods which are cheaper. People love to buy the same product which is cheaper, so the customers are satisfied with the underground economy because they can save the taxes which are about one-tenth of the price of the product. However, the government will lose lots if income because of the impropriety of the customers. For example, we should pay for 14.5% taxes in Canada...
