Cubism.
A style of art that stresses abstracts structure at the expense of other pictorial elements-especially by displaying several aspects of the same objects simultaneously and by fragmenting the forms of depicted objects.

Cubism was and is one of the most influential art movements of the twentieth century.
The movement lasted approximately eighteen years, and existed around the times of Fauvism and Expressionism.
Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque began cubism in 1907. Pablo, Georges and Juan Gris, who was another big name in Cubism, played a large part in the development of the movement.
They were all greatly influenced by African sculpture and artists Paul Czanne and Georges Seurat, and by the Fauves.
