Being a good basketball player is having dedication to the game which means getting your body physically ready such as eating healthy and exercising and also being a good basketball player is knowing the basics (shooting , passing , dribbling) and practicing. There is more to the game but starting off with just the few things named the rest could come along much easier.
Getting physically ready is hard work and dedication but it's worth all that hard work. One of the most important part of getting your body physically ready for a season of basketball is weightlifting. Weights just don't get player body strong it can also get a player mentally ready for a game. For example when a player get on the court and starts getting pushed around he or she will start thinking more about getting hit, pushed and thrown all over the court, and their mind is not set on the game. Players do not understand how serious and helpful lifting weights can be until someone the player know are worst hurt themselves. There's a injury that is very common in basketball it's called ACL injury (Anterior cruciate ligament) which is the center of the knee. It can occur in many different ways but the most common way is just landing on their leg wrong and twisting it. Weightlifting can prevent that injury and many other injuries...
