Which transmission media are the most secure?
There are many different types of transmission media to evaluate before deciding on which type is best for your network. The two main types of transmission media are guided; such as copper wire and fiber; and unguided; such as infrared and radio waves. Guided transmission is generally more secure than unguided transmission. There are many obvious choices for your particular needs and there are some choices that run pretty parallel to each other.
Fiber optics seems to be the most secure transmission media. The military has been utilizing fiber for years due to its many unique features. Fiber is extremely difficult to tap into.
