1) The background information that sparks the issue of the culling of that bats all started when the bats actually became a pest and made themselves an issue due to the large amount of fruit bat living in the Royal Botanic Gardens, they were supposedly damaging our native plants and tree's and the only possible solution was to cull them off.
2) My personal opinion on the subject is that I think that the bats should be culled in a acceptable amount, sure the gardens are one of the most beautiful gardens in all the world but we have to remember that bats are living things and if we do decide to cull a whole lot of them then we might even be faced with the situation where the bats have to be protected because of possible extinction.
3) "Beauty and the Beast in the gardens" is the article that is the editorial. The editorial is a specific article that highlights the editor's opinion.
4) When the editor uses the quote " a fiscal perspective" he is referring the issue from the economic point of view.
5) The point of view expressed by the editor is more of a public concern about the condition that our Royal Botanical Gardens are kept in.
6) The two main arguments from the editor is that not all the bats will be culled just the ones that are necessary and also the one that I think that is the main one, the bats are damaging our Gardens which are one of the most beautiful in the world.
7) "Going to bat for the garden's bats" it's the pun in article D, is putting the point across that someone is going to battle for the bats.
8) Both articles D and E are letters from the public. The both are showing concern for the health and welfare of the bats, and to show that they don't agree with the government are doing...
