Hello, I'm Dr Jack Abbott and I'm here to talk to you about the fear in books and movies. I will be mainly concentrating on books especially by the authors Edgar Allen Poe and Stephen King.
There are a lot of horror books in the world, it would take hours telling you them all, but here is a very, very short list of just some of the horror stories in the world today: Berenice, Morella, The Case of Amontillado, The fall of the house of Usher, The Black Cat, The Pit and the Pendulum, The premature Burial, The masque of the red death, The oval portrait- which are all by Edgar Allen Poe. These are just some of the books by Stephen King- Pet Sematary, The Dark Half, The. Here are some other books you probably have heard of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by R L Stevenson, Dracula by Bram Stoker, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, The Exorcist by William Peter Blattly and Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. As I have said before there are a lot more horror books out there to be read apart from these.
I will now give you a brief description of Edgar Allen Poe's life and afterwards Stephen King's life so far.
