Socialism was supposed to bring people prosperity, equality, and security. The end result was poverty, misery, and oppression. Ironically everyone was equally bound to this fate. Socialism provides an easy fix to problems we face today, but inventible leads to ruin.
In a socialist society all property is inherently owned by the state. No one is entitled to private property. The land, capitol, and goods are all owned by the public. All the income created from production is equally distributed among the citizens. The citizen's sole duty is to better the state as a whole.
