Winston Groom Forrest Gump
The Story:
Forrest grows up in a small town in Alabama together with his mother. Having physical and mental problems because he has artificial legs and an IQ near 70 he is not a "normal" child. Because of the persistence of his mother he is able go to a normal public school. Forrest is often laughed at by other children because of his hindrances.
One girl, called Jenny Curran stays with Forrest and they become very good friends. Jenny is Forrest`s big love, but during their time at school there was never more between them.
Forrest`s father was killed shortly after Forrest`s birth by a netting full of bananas which fell down on him.
Forrest`s mother takes care of Forrest and gives him many wisdoms on his way, the most well-known is: "Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you`re going to get".
After one year at the public school Forrest goes to a special school for about six years.
One day a manager of a football team asks him if he wants to play football because he is perfect with his height of 1,95m and after losing his medic shoes he is a very good runner...
