This story begins in a time of bloodshed and continues through to a time of restoration. We will be revisiting the 1800's of the country of Japan from the year 1849. So begins the story of a legend. The year is 1849 June 20th where a boy named Himura Shinta is born into a peasant class. He was born in the town of Edo Japan. The country of Japan was at peace. Shinto's parents caught the deadly disease of cholera that was sweeping the country and they died 10 years after Shinta was born in the year 1859. This left Shinta all alone in the world he had no other relatives to care for him.
After his parent's death a group of slave traders came through the town looking for more slaves of ones with no family due to the disease cholera that killed many people and that left ones without people to care for them like Shinta. SO the took Shinta with them...
