There are several movies that I like, but one movie has his own position in my mind. It is called 'Wag The Dog'. If you are interested in politics in the United States of America as I am, it will be very fascinating for you to watch this movie because politics and the Dream factory of Hollywood go together in a perfect way.
The film starts with a sex scandal of the president of the United States only two weeks before the Election Day. He has a very short affair with a young girl what becomes public knowledge and might cost him his election.
But the President has two persons who work in the background: Winifred Ames (Anne Heche) and Conrad Bream (Robert De Niro). They decided to manufacture a war against Albania to get the public's mind off the affair with the young girl. But to do this, Winifred and Conrad need help. So they go to a Hollywood producer called Stanley Motss (Dustin Hoffman) who is fascinated about helping his country. Together they stage a war against Albania by controlling the press and the media, even though there is no real war in Albania...
