Personal Communications Report
A great marine once told me, "Strive to be better than your superiors. Set your goals and standards within reach, for you may need help along the way." His name was First Sergeant Contreras.
My verbal strength at this point has grown since acquiring a new title a few months ago as platoon sergeant. Not realizing that I had to give so many classes to different marines of all ranks, I was nervous at first. I believed in myself along the way and had so much help from my superiors that I finally found a way to give a class without being nervous. I found that I just had to go out there, do not think while giving these classes, and just give the class. Thinking about what I was going to say, practiced it in the mirror, and I made it work to my advantage.
My nonverbal communication skills need work since I have to keep my composure at work at all times...
