In this essay, I will explain the characteristic an effective teacher should possess in order to be effective in the classroom, which are organized, manage, and care. Also what it will happen when these traits are present and when are not present.
One of the characteristics an effective teacher may have is organized. A teacher that explains clearly the lesson to the students will expect them to be on task immediately, but if the teacher does not explains the lesson the students will not be on task, and will feel that they are lost and do not know what's going on therefore they will most probably used their time in something else. When, the teacher is well prepared, the students will respect her. They will understand that she is in command, in the other hand, when, the teacher is not well prepared the students will assume that they can take over, tell the teacher how to run the class, some what disrespect her, and know that she does not know what she is doing. An effective teacher will give lectures that are easy to outline, is careful and precise in answering questions, summarizes major points, stage objectives for each class lesson, identifies what he or she considers important. Not an effective teacher will give lecture that are difficult to outline, will not answer questions carefully or precise or will just try to shot students out and will not identify what is important to her because nothing seems right for her.
Second characteristic of an effective teacher is a Manager. She will begin class promptly, uses a variety of instructional strategies, focus on the topic and avoids being sidetracked , explanation are clear, use humor, good classroom management and held classes attention, interact with students; immediate answers corrected feedback, praise students, additional proving questions to extend answers...
