Year round schooling
Year round schooling is an improved setup on the format of the school calendar. In this calendar, the school year has been modified to make longer breaks throughout the year and decrease the summer break. In most cases, the students have forty five instructional days of class followed by fifteen days of vacation. In other words after every nine week grading period there is a three week vacation for the students and teachers. Year round schooling is beneficial to all who are involved. The school year is a greater learning efficiency for the students and less stressful for the teachers. The school board can also be benefited by the decrease in financial spending required. The purpose of this paper is to increase the knowledge of how year round schooling can benefit everyone involved. Through the cost effectiveness, students learning, and teacher's opportunities, year round school program is better than the traditional school program.
