Question: 'Explain in detail the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church about the sacrament of Marriage.'
God created marriage when the first humans appeared on earth, Adam and Eve - man and woman. It is the uniting of the two sexes and bonding them together for life - 'Till death do us part'. It brings the couple closer than they have ever been and they do this by saying vows to each other, which are promises in which they must obey and not forget. It is the vows in which a couple are united, God created these vows so that the couple can use it to help them know what they must do to fulfil the sacrament of marriage. God made us to either become a couple with someone from the opposite sex, or become a priest, nun or someone from the clergy who do not marry. Therefore, by getting married we are fulfilling the sacrament, which God created, and therefore are following the laws of the church.
The Roman Catholic Church talks of marriage as a special part of a couple's life. It is when a man and woman with great affections for one another decide to get married. They say, "In marriage the physical intimacy of the spouses (husband or wife) becomes a sign and pledge of spiritual communion"...
