Most gangster films are about ‘family’, both related by blood and the gangster team. They tend to circle around two family’s in which one hurts a member of the opposing family and then that family ‘whacks’ the person responsible, therefore creating the cause and effect chain that doesn’t seem to end till the innocent one dies.
