Are facts so stubborn that they can not be changed by human will? If it is agreed that facts are defined as information presented as objectively real, we are aware of and experience so many objective things unaltered. However, what is the meaning of objective? Throughout history, I find a lot of human efforts which have been made to defy the things considered as facts and doubt their truths, and I believe these endeavors will be continued as long as we want progress. Based on this prospective, I disagree that facts are stubborn things.
On the one hand, if the speaker means only non-interpretative facts, it is reasonable that they are not changed by any human desire. Non-interpretative facts are understood as undeniably true all the time and accepted without any exception. For example, we cannot change the measured value. One atomic value of hydrogen is the same all the time anywhere, so it does not increase or decrease by my wish. Natural laws are another case...
