Mr. Fredrick Douglas (1817 - 1895). Through reverberated details exposing generalize
glimpse of slavery. Mr. Douglas prepares as a table before the readers an uprising of
his transformation. The physical, and psychological abuse endured brought forth a
Slave that was independent and most of all a self respecting human being.
Bondman, bond slave, bondsman, chattel, mancipium, along with
a host of words can be formulated to depict what a black descendent represented.
During this time (years ago) a person held in servitude or bondage was normal.
Blacks were both owned, and owners. As part of the stables (where horses were held)
and names were provided with births and deaths in the confinements of the logs...
