Philip was on his way home, in his car, on the night of Friday 19th September 2003. He got to a sharpish left hand corner and "lost it". He rolled the car several times and landed upside down in a field. No one else was involved.
Residents, in the nearby houses, heard the noise and went out to investigate. They could see the damage and debris, but couldn't find the car. A motorist, who happened to be an ex- fireman, arrived on the scene a few minutes later. He got a torch and his florescent jacket and helped to locate the car.
