What Is History?
History is not an easy subject to define, it is a complicated and incomplete science. It is more than just facts. Historians' interpretations also change from person to person and are affected by a number of elements, such as race or religion. Also, not every single detail about every event has been recorded. There are large, and crucial chunks of information missing in a great deal of historical events.
Fenton says that, " History is often taught as most high school students think of it: as a record of the past or an account of what happened in earlier times." Most people just learn the facts of what happened, not why and how exactly. Is there more to the facts? Does how and why matter?..
