Throughout history, wars and bloodshed have occurred in many societies of the world. These wars were fought over religious, racial, or political discrimination! Such discrimination exists in many parts of the world even today, such as India and Palestine. Discrimination at such high levels can have tremendous impact on the psychosocial development of children who face this problem.
In today's world, the social problem of discrimination has not submerged. Being a Muslim, I can relate to many atrocities that Muslims face in various parts of this world which are not too different from the holocaust. Many will disagree with me and argue that if there is a holocaust today, it's in Israel where it is terrorized daily with suicide bombers, resulting in deaths of innocents. I can totally agree that what is happening in Israel is completely wrong and must be stopped. But living in the United States, we only get one-sided story of the Israel-Palestine conflict. The media makes Palestine seem like the antagonists...
