Bio Bugs?
The article that I have chosen to write about was from my local newspaper, The Times Record News, and was titled "Progress at what cost?" written by Paul Elias. The article was about the use of genetically altered insects to benefit much of the world's population. Some people are worried about the effects of releasing these genetically altered insects into the wild to change the general population of an insect species. Although genetically altering animals and insects have produced many great benefits to mankind some people are worried about the effect that releasing genetically altered insects would have on the ecosystems involved and what the long term effects would be.
