It is quite evident that Odysseus is the greatest legendary hero of ancient Greece. In order to be a nation’s greatest hero one must have honorable traits. Unlike Achilles, for example, Odysseus has far more patience and is not at all a hot head. Being a clever strategist helps keep Odysseus at the top of ancient Greece’s list for greatest legendary hero. Patience is one of the many key attributes one would need to attain to be as great a hero as Odysseus. For instance, Odysseus shows this great trait by controlling himself during the time he and his son, Telemachos tried to keep a protective eye over Penelope’s suitors.
