Nathaniel Knowlton September 5, 2003 Fiction Writing WF 9:25 When I was a kid we lived in a beautiful suburban area. Lawns were green, houses were big, and no matter where you were standing at any time of day, you would be able to see some guy feeding or watering their lawn. It was your stereo typical suburbia of the late 90’s. By the time 3 o’clock came around children, including me, would be running around, riding bikes, playing basketball, or doing anything to use up all the energy we used while we were in school. Those 7 hours of being confined in a classroom could make kids do strange things. I mean, before we got off the bus it was mayhem. I can’t believe that the bus driver didn’t go insane. Kids were screaming, shooting spitballs at each other, singing songs, and everything else that they couldn’t do in school. That helped us children use a little bit of energy, but when we got off the bus we went nuts. I remember the daily flight I would take from the bus to my house.
