By MARK BABINECK, Associated Press Writer HOUSTON - The Houston Texans took little advantage of Byron Leftwich's first three turnovers. They made the rookie quarterback and his Jacksonville Jaguars (news) pay on the fourth. AP Photo With Jacksonville leading in the waning minutes of Leftwich's first start on Sunday, Leftwich fumbled the ball away at end of a scramble in the final minutes. Then he had to watch helplessly from the sidelines as David Carr sneaked in from inside the 1-yard-line as time expired to give Houston 24-20 victory. The turning point came with 2:42 remaining, Leftwich tried to scramble for a first down around the right side when he lost the ball on Eric Brown (news)'s tackle.
