Lee Hellis Mr. Auriuso The place that I chose to complete my 20 hours of community service is the St. Charles church prayer center. The church is located at 3003 Dewey Ave. The church has many different needs and goals; providing a facility for the community is what I will be working on. The purpose of creating a good facility to be open to the community is to enrich peoples lives through the different programs the church offers. I chose this organization for a few different reasons. Mostly I chose it because it is close to my house and I would like to help my local community. Also I work well with people and am willing to make others lives better. By completing this community service I hope to learn responsibility and also respect for my community. I will be doing many different things to improve this organization. Cleaning and restoring the library as well as the kitchen facility are two of the major goals I will be working on. Major reorganization of the facility as a whole also needs to be done. Another task I will be assigned is to help prepare meals for weekend group organizations that use the facility.
