An ethical problem I had to face was knowing that my uncle had a terminal illness (cancer) and not be allowed to tell him about it. ... So the whole family agreed in not telling him the truth because they wanted him to enjoy the last few months of his life, we thought that if we tell him the truth because he would suffer a lot more than he already was. ... He said he would rather die than having to suffer like that and he would blame us for not telling him the truth. ... When he found out the truth he felt unhappy and depressed. ... We wanted to see him happy for the last moments of his life and we thought that if he found out the truth, it would be worst.
