We have to think if the religion that we follow is truthful and will it bring refuge and success in the life after death. According to Johnnie Lamar in the The Declining Importance of Religion Americans do not know too much about religions that they suppously follow. “The modern American has very little knowledge of the religion that she or he is supposed to be practicing, even though we still claim to be a "Christian" nation. Christians believe that their religion’s central precept concerns getting to heaven by doing more good than bad. ... ”
Regardless of how people show their faith in their daily lives, such as accepted values as love, respect, tolerance, forgiveness, mercy, human rights, peace, brotherhood, and freedom are all values exalted by religion. ... So religion is a system of belief that brings everyone together.
Why do we believe in religion?
We believe in religion, because without it there is no reason to live life happily
